I had an older Oral- B Professional that I got from my dentist, but dropped it after many years so the brush heads would come off while brushing. I had researched new Oral-B toothbrushes and found the Gingivitis System. Once I used it, I knew that I should have gotten it a long time ago; it does an excellent job and my teeth always feel nice and clean. You can't go wrong with the toothbrush or the different heads. The only thing needed was a base to hold the other brushes. I picked one up from Amazon that fit perfectly. Again, this is a wonderful toothbrush.
